From Max Hannah.
Welcome readers. It seems your journey on the internet has brought you here and in a twist of fate onto my journey. I welcome you to my blog and hope you enjoy reading my rambilings.
The 1,300 mile road from Canterbury to Rome in which we ran is also known to some as the ViaFrancegina , a medieval pilgramage route that has beeen trodden
on for thousands of years by pilgrims far and wide. As river
historian for Canterbury Historic River Tours I
have forever been fascinated by the stories of Geoffrey Chaucer and his tales of pilgrims past. I like to think this is one more tale to be
contributed to the thousands of epic adventures,
men and women have undergone along this ancient road and would like to take this opportunity
to pay a tribute to Pandora.
A child’s buggy that safely
carried our gear deep into the unknown. The run for me was the ultimate test of willpower and
I was pushed to go places I thought mentally and physically beyond human
capability, running the equivalent of a marathon a day through some of the most difficult terrain Europe has to offer. I thank all those who have supported me and James along the way. Without
you we would have surely died a slow and tragic death. I am thrilled that you have taken the time to read this and hope you will enjoy it.
